Bible Reading Plan

It is very helpful to read the Bible in chronological order (particularly the Old Testament) as it allows you to see how prophets link with kings, when David wrote certain psalms during his life, the sequence of the exile and return from exile, etc.

The only downside is that if you rigorously follow a chronological reading plan you will not read anything from the Gospels until early October and you won’t read Paul until late November.

So, we have developed a reading plan that will involve reading something each day from the Old Testament, something from the Gospels/Acts, and something from Paul or the other epistles.

It covers the following in one year:

(1) The Old Testament once in roughly chronological order (some parts are tricky to arrange correctly)

(2) The Gospels and Acts four times each

(3) The epistles (including Revelation) three times each (not currently in chronological order)

You may want to read one column in the morning, one column during the day and one column in the evening.

It is attached in Numbers format if you have the Numbers app on iOS, and also as a pdf which should open on any device.

Enjoy!
